Cutting chart
Cut strips across the width of fabric, then subcut. All measurements include 1/4" seam allowances.
Charm squares8 5/8 yd
Cut 61 strips 5" x WOF.
- Subcut 484 5" squares
Border1 7/8 yd
Cut 11 strips 5 1/2" x WOF; join them end to end, then cut the four borders to length.
Binding7/8 yd
Cut 11 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; join them on the diagonal and press in half lengthwise.
Backing, binding, batting
Backing
9 3/4 yd of 42" fabric: 3 panels 117" long, seamed lengthwise, for a 117" x 117" back (4" extra on every side for the longarm or your frame).
Binding
11 strips 2 1/2" x WOF, joined on the diagonal and folded in half: 436" around the quilt plus 12" for the corners and the join.
Batting
A piece at least 117" x 117".
